First Year Nostalgia

As Emerson’s first birthday approaches, the urge to walk down memory lane grows stronger. I’ve referred to the blog several times for details of my pregnancy and her first few months only to find I had skimmed right over some significant events. My philosophy, as far as blogging goes, has been to capture as much as I can while it’s happening — if I wait too long to write about something it loses significance and I move forward. Until now. In this rapidly changing baby world I am beginning to forget those warm fuzzy details that I thought would stay with me forever – how tiny she was, her toothless...

Window Gazer

Little Miss Emerson is finally tall enough to see out the windows! She loves to watch her dad and Bela do manly things in the yard....

It’s been entertaining for me to see everything grow and gratifying for Nic to see his labor of love thrive. Here’s a little bit of what I’m talking about…  ...

Toy Recycling

It’s always refreshing to see Emme think outside the box. Just when I thought she had no further use for her activity mat, she reinvented it’s purpose — fort! Instead of laying on top of it and playing with the dangling toys, she likes to turn it up-side-down and play underneath! I wish I could take credit for this clever idea, but she was way ahead of me....
